Battle of Waterloo

The Battle of Waterloo was a significant event in European history, marking the final defeat of Napoleon Bonaparte and the end of his reign as Emperor of France. The battle took place on June 18, 1815 near the town of Waterloo in present-day Belgium, and involved the forces of the French Empire, commanded by Napoleon, and a coalition of European powers led by the Duke of Wellington and the Prussian Field Marshal Blücher. The battle was a hard-fought and bloody, with casualties on both sides, but ultimately resulted in a decisive victory for the coalition forces and the end of's ambitions for European domination.
